Eligibility Criteria For WBPSC Fire Operator

1. Candidates are eligible who have completed Madhyamik examination or its equivalent from any Govt. recognized Board or Institution.

2. Candidates are eligible who have passed Physical measurement as mentioned in Official job Notification for WBPSC Fire Operator.

Age Limit:

Candidates are eligible whose age should not be below 18 Years and not more than 27 Years as on 01-01-2018.

Selection Process:

The posts in the rank of Fire Operator shall be filled up by selection through direct recruitment on the basis of a written examination, physical measurement test, endurance test and personality test to be conducted by the Commission. The candidates who qualify in the Written Examination shall, thereafter, be called for Physical Measurement Test and the candidates who qualify Physical Measurement Test shall appear in the Endurance Test and those who qualify in Endurance Test shall be called for Personality Test.

The Written Examination will be held at various venues in Kolkata and in certain other Districts of West Bengal tentatively on the 15th September, 2018. Only Scheduled Tribe candidates of Darjeeling Districts and other candidates of the three Hill Sub-Divisions, namely Darjeeling Sadar, Mirik and Kurseong will be allowed to appear at Darjeeling Centre. Similarly all candidates from Kalimpong District will be allowed to appear at KALIMPONG centre. The Physical Measurement Test and Endurance Test will be held thereafter at Kolkata and the Personality Test in the office of Public Service Commission , West Bengal, in Kolkata.
